Abstract
Inequality between regions is the main problem in encouraging the improvement of people's welfare. This study aims to analyze inequality between regions and its correlation to economic growth in East Java Province. This study uses data on GRDP and District/City Population Growth in East Java Province from 2013-2022. This study used the analysis tools of the Wiliamson Index, Klasen Topology, and Pearson Correlation. The result of this study is that inequality between districts / cities in East Java Province is relatively high at 0.9 index and continues to increase. However, it can also be concluded that based on data from 2013-2022, it shows that the correlation between economic growth and regional inequality is low or weak. The correlation that occurs is a negative correlation which shows that in the last 10 years the economic development process has run in accordance with expectations, namely increasing economic growth and reducing disparities between districts / cities.
